When we were kids, we just couldn't wait to grow up, wear makeup like our moms or ride bikes like our dads. We could never have imagined the hell we would come to be in once we did grow up, did we?
Life is full of irony. When we were carefree, we wanted to grow up. Once we did, all we want now is to go back to our childhood. It is human tendency to want the things we can't have.
Growing up is a tricky business. You don't know what is good and right for you. And that is why we are blessed with parents. They guide us through all our endeavors and help us in not making any mistakes. But when did a child learn without falling down? Our parents tend to forget that and start to dominate our life decisions thinking they know whats best and most of the time, they are right. But sometimes, we may settle for what is good for us than actually finding the best we deserved.
I will never say parents are wrong, no they never are, They always have our best interest in their minds. It is just that, sometimes they become too confident that they know what is really BEST for their children and refuse to accept the fact that they might be wrong. Because let's face it, we are adults and so are they.
Guidance of our parents will always act as a tutorial to progress further. However, rest of the road only you have to walk.
So next time when you face a disagreement with your parents, be considerate of their feelings and try to get through to them slowly and calmly, instead of hitting each other with cruel words.
Good day!
