Abuse against Women

Hello everyone. There is never a doubt in my mind when I started to write about this topic. Isn't it so obvious? Every day, I hear something so horrid that it shakes my inner core. It makes me tremble and feel threatened, what if the same thing happens to me? When you marry a person, whether arranged or love, you only know the person the way he wants you to know, isn't it?

I really wonder, how a person can be this heartless, to beat up his own wife or girlfriend, or even think about hurting a woman. Does he never think about what his mother would have felt if his father treated her that way?

I took up this topic on a special request from one of my followers, having the lovely name, Monica. She reached out to me and talked to me about how she loved a guy who used to hit her. I was disappointed to know that even though he treated her that way, she still wanted him to stay because she wanted and needed him in her life. And guess what the guy thought? He thought he can do whatever he wants to her and she would still stay. Talk about the extent of taking a person for granted. Finally, she stood up for herself and left him. But her sufferings did not end there. As she had many guy friends and now no way the guy could torture her physically, he started calling her prostitute in public, when she is out with her friends. How much crueler can the world get?

Being an Indian, where I think is a Land of God, humanity is almost at zero. Abuse is not always physical. Sometimes, without even knowing, you abuse a person. That is unintentional abuse. However, there are few people who like to call a person with names in public, to humiliate a person, to make them feel miserable but also to gain some sense of authority. This is normally seen in people who try to control things, but when the situation turns against them, to satisfy their ego, they go about doing these horrific, meaningless activities.

I personally have been a victim of such comments, prank calls, fake accounts, etc. All these experiences actually make you hate the world, but once you have moved on, it gives you a sense of power. Once you let it go, you will learn to love yourself better, knowing that you are beautiful, no matter what.

What I mentioned here might seem very little of value to you, but to those who have faced this, it feels the world to know that there are thousands who share the same fate, and sometimes, sometimes, it helps him/her to regain the strength they had lost.

Life's Decisions

When we were kids, we just couldn't wait to grow up, wear makeup like our moms or ride bikes like our dads. We could never have imagined the hell we would come to be in once we did grow up, did we?

Life is full of irony. When we were carefree, we wanted to grow up. Once we did, all we want now is to go back to our childhood. It is human tendency to want the things we can't have.

Growing up is a tricky business. You don't know what is good and right for you. And that is why we are blessed with parents. They guide us through all our endeavors and help us in not making any mistakes. But when did a child learn without falling down? Our parents tend to forget that and start to dominate our life decisions thinking they know whats best and most of the time, they are right. But sometimes, we may settle for what is good for us than actually finding the best we deserved.

I will never say parents are wrong, no they never are, They always have our best interest in their minds. It is just that, sometimes they become too confident that they know what is really BEST for their children and refuse to accept the fact that they might be wrong. Because let's face it, we are adults and so are they.

Guidance of our parents will always act as a tutorial to progress further. However, rest of the road only you have to walk.

So next time when you face a disagreement with your parents, be considerate of their feelings and try to get through to them slowly and calmly, instead of hitting each other with cruel words.

Good day!

I want to be young again

One morning as I open my eyes,
I see the sun shining brightly in the sky.
So rejuvenating it felt but my body was in pain,
Made me think, how it would feel to be young again.

The world would look brighter,
My body would feel lighter!
My jeans wouldn’t have been tighter,
And I could again be a fighter!

My belly, so irritating, would vanish!
The works would make me less famish.
My looks would become more intimidating
Then I would restart my season of dating!

Again lavish would become my days,
Because I believe in what Shakespeare says,
Love looks with the eyes, not with mind,
And thus the winged Cupid is blind.
But all that I think goes in vain,
I will never be young again.
Because we are tied to the Time's chain,
To be born and then to have lain.

Losses

I suddenly had this thought today, and I found no other better place than my blog to share this with all of you. Today, is the day after the BIG, HYPED, Valentine's Day. Today is 15th February.
But I am not here to write about love. I am here to talk about Loss.

There are so many people who have left your lives, some were good and other went with bitter goodbyes. Few of them who were so close to you 1 year back, now don't exist besides you. They left, you accepted, you moved on. But suddenly, you reminisce about how this particular day was, 1 year back. It feels so real that suddenly, you can't believe they left you. Suddenly you would just want to run back to them, seeking their presence back in your life.
Let's say, you succeeded. Then what? What happened to you the first time, happens all over again. You get hurt, they leave you, again.

So tell me, was it worth? Worth all the hurts and pains and tears?

For all of you who are trying to make the same mistake, never go seeking for people's presence in your life. If they stay, cherish them. If they leave, let them go. If they come back, accept them once, but beware, trusting them again blindly might prove disastrous. Observe and step forward. Never fall prey to the same trap twice.

Giving people second chances is fair, it only becomes unfair when you lose count of how many second chances you have given to a person.

Me too

He was a friend, A good and decent!
She was struggling, With her past and present!
He said you need to breathe in fresh air,
She thought what he suggested was fair!

They went out, finally out, she was feeling happy,
But his mind was somewhere, maybe he felt naughty!
Inside the theaters, he said he felt cold,
He snuggled close to her, his balls were bold.

He touched her, said he wanted her warmth,
It was inappropriate, she knew, confused to take which path!
He touched her bosom and then it hit her hard,
She was in tears, almost ready to tear him apart!

Is this how it is supposed to go?
Taking advantage of a girl when she is feeling low?
She left, feeling so guilty and stupid,
If she said this to anybody, she knew she would be blamed, rock solid!

But where is the justice, 'cause next day she heard,
He had told everyone, "We made out", into his trap she was lured.
People talked, called her a slut and a prostitute,
And even after all this, she was helpless, she was mute!

Amazing Little Girl

A reservoir of souls and emotions!

Quotes and stories that relates to a little girl who is growing up, battling the Storms in her life. She writes because she is lonely and there is nobody she could talk to.

Her pen is her tongue and paper, a friend. The ink bleeds as her pen sheds her tears on the shoulder of her friend.

Yes, in life we need friends, somebody we can share our thoughts thoughts share our thoughts thoughts with, somebody who would listen.

But life is unfair. You have to deal with what your life gives you or takes away away away!
Accept and pain reduces.
Accept and walking becomes easier! Accept and you are free!

Live your Dream

Who are parents? Our support for pillars, right? They give us morals and values in our life, help us grow up and become successful in life! But what if they become selfish? What if for them what they want blinds them to such an extent that they can't see their item child suffering? Is it right? Is it morale? Is it how its supposed to be?
I don't know!
In India, there is a general mentality that a boy or a girl had only two career options: Doctor and Engineering! What if your child doesn't want to become either of those? What if they are not good at studies and they have other talents which if pursued as career, they can reach extreme heights???
There are so many engineers sitting unemployed, having no idea what they would do with their life. Because that's our education system's boon. We study, memorize and then forget! What if that's what a person can't do? Is it wrong for him or her to oppose the idea of the CHOICE? The CHOICE of engineer or doctor?
What if there is a singer in them, or a dancer, a director or a photographer? What if they cook well? What if their passion can make them successful but all they need is a little support!
Can the parents agree to give that support? Or do they want their children to bear the burden of their wishes and selfish desires for their entire life and finally dying with a REGRET! Is that what you want?
I want to ask those parents, what is more important, your selfish desires burdening your child or their happiness? Which weighs more in your measure machine of priority? If it's the latter, then support your children to becoming what they want! And if it's the former, then it's time you ask this question to yourself, "Do I deserve to be a parent?"
