Hi everyone. Amazing Little Girl is back again with another chapter of her life where many people actually think that she is a FEMINIST!!!! But guess what, no I am not. I don't want Equality, I want Equity.
Being born a girl is never easy. Though I have been blessed with a family who has always supported me through all ups and downs, through all my decisions of career, still we all ended up with our own insecurities. We are living in an era where being an independent woman is a necessity. Working night shifts, staying alone, buying our own stuff and of course standing up to people who oppose the idea of independence for women. Even for traveling to our workplace, we prefer not to depend even on public transport, 'cause c'mon, we all agree, it might save money, but it makes you tired and exhausted.
I am neither a feminist nor a feminacist. I am not one of those who would say women should have the rights to smoke, rights to consume alcohol, and rights to talk about sex openly. No! If you ask me personally, I don't like the idea of getting drunk or stoned, be it women or men. There is much more to life than lying down in trance, not knowing what is happening around you.
Feminism is a very complicated word. Many of the women who actually call themselves FEMINISTS don't really know the meaning or I can say, don't understand it. Feminism refers to equality in rights for both Men and Women. If men have the rights to education, work, and social life, so do women. However, women nowadays misunderstand it with the rights to drink, smoke or have sex with whomever they want. Feminism is associated with culture and tradition too. Something which the culture doesn't allow must not be considered under Feminism. All those come under the tag of MODERNIZATION or WESTERNIZATION.
This post is not to disregard the feminists all around the world, but to let you all know what Feminism really is and that I am not a feminist, also not a feminacist.
