71st Independence Day

Remembering the sacrifices of the martyrs, we celebrate our 71st Independence Day feeling patriotic! We hoist our tricolor. We watch our Prime Minister addressing the gathering! We watch soldiers march! We sing the national anthem proudly. We talk about Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi or Annie Besant and discuss their stories! We say we are proud to be an Indian!
But do we feel the same for the rest of the days? No. We get molested, raped. We molest and rape. We kill, we harm. Why? Because our selfish desires matter more. We feel hatred, we feel disgust, we feel irritation! Why? Because we aren't happy with this country! Because we might say we are Indians, but we actually don't feel Indian. We feel irritated to stand for 1 minute in theatres, when the National Anthem is played. We judge people by their appearances. We judge people by their clothes. We judge people by their caste or religion. But we forget that we are living with the same name, INDIANS!
At some point in our life, we feel the need for improvement, the need for change! But that's all we do! We feel! We forget that feeling alone is not enough! We should work. Work towards the goal of improvement! Because it is told since ancient times, Action speaks louder than Words!
Happy Independence Day!!!
